Lecidoma

Description : Flora (1985: 243).

Lecidoma is a monospecific genus included in the family Psoraceae (Eriksson et al. 2004; Pennycook & Galloway 2004; Eriksson 2005). It is characterised by the areolate–diffract, pulvinate thallus delimited by a black prothallus; a red-brown epithecium; a colourless, I+ blue hymenium; a colourless hypothecium; straight, thin-walled, strongly conglutinate paraphyses only slightly branching and anastomosing; clavate, thin-walled asci with a well-developed K/I+ pale-blue apical dome and K/I+ dark-blue, Porpidia -like tubular structure (Schneider 1980; Pietschmann 1990).
