Utricularia colensoi

U. colensoi Hook. f. Fl. N.Z. 1, 1854, 206.

"Omnia U. Novae-Zelandiae sed corollae labio superiore lineari-oblongo bilobo inferiore late cuneato 3-lobo, lobo medio retuso, disco 3-gibboso.

"HAB. Northern Island. East Coast, Colenso.

"My only specimens are preserved in camphorated spirits of wine, and hence not easily examined; but they appear to differ conspicuously from the former [U. novae-zelandiae] in the linear two-lobed upper lip, and broadly wedge-shaped three-lobed lower, which has three swellings on the disc."

The above is the description given by Hooker. In his Handbk N.Z. Fl. 1864, 223, he states: "The only specimens were preserved in fluid with U. protusa [sic], and lost with them."
