Carmichaelia floribunda G.Simpson

Type: W, 224/246, labelled as C. diffusa Petrie.

Prostrate to decumbent much-branched shrub with stems up to 1 m. long. Branchlets compressed, striate, sparsely hairy, 1-2 mm. wide. Racemes 4-8-fld, on pilose peduncles ± 8 mm. long. Fls ± 3 × 2 mm., on pilose pedicels ± 1 mm. long. Calyx < 1 × 1 mm., glab.; teeth minute. Pods c. 3 × 1 mm., subturgid, brown; beak stout, blunt, hardly tapered; replum very thick. Seeds 1-(2), pale brown.

DIST.: S. At present known only from the original specimens from Upcot Saddle, Upper Awatere.
