Melicytus lanceolatus var. latior G.Simpson & J.S.Thomson

Var. latior Simpson et Thomson in T.R.S.N.Z. 72, 1942, 25.

Type: BD 75719 Flagstaff Hill, Dunedin, G. Simpson, Dec. 1940. Probably has a wider distribution.

Lvs 2-2.5 cm. wide, oblong-lanceolate; petals dark purple at tips only, elsewhere orange.

DIST.: S. Forests near Dunedin to Bluff Hill.
