Elaeocarpus dentatus var. obovatus Cheeseman

Var. obovatus Cheesem. in T.N.Z.I. 39, 1907, 442.

Type: A, H. J. Matthews. Also collected by W. Martin in Kenepuru Sound, Marlborough.

Lamina broad-obovate 5-7 × 3-5 cm., narrowed to long slender petiole.

DIST.: Type locality: Riwaka, Tasman Bay.

Juvenile plants sts have narrow lvs up to 20 × 3 cm., thinly coriac., pale green, coarsely toothed, sts forked. Similar lvs sts occur on reversion shoots.
