Xylographa perangusta (Stirt.) Müll.Arg.

Arthonia perangusta Stirton, J. Linn. Soc. Lond. Bot. 14: 470 (1875).

Holotype: New Zealand, Ad corticem, Wellington. J. Buchanan 131, GLAM!

Thallus olive-green to greyish, thin, smooth, matt or subnitid, areolate-cracked. Apothecia innate, brownish-black to black, small, round to oblong or ± irregular, rarely ± stellate. Ascospores 8-10 per ascus, uniseriate, minute, spherical, 2 µm diam.

N: known only from the type collection.

Endemic

A rarely collected species from smooth-barked trees and shrubs. The type collection is associated with Clathroporina exocha.
