Loxomaceae

LOXOMACEAE

Sori marginal, terminating veinlets; indusium urceolate; receptacle elongating, hairy. Sporangia about pyriform, subsessile; annulus oblique, complete or not; spores tetrahedral. Terrestrial, with spreading rhizomes; fronds pinnately compound, veins free. Genera 2: Loxoma endemic to N.Z.; Loxsomopsis, with 3 spp. of Central America.
