ξT. intermedium (Host) Barkworth et D.R.Dewey ξThe specimen consists of a single culm broken off above the base of the plant. Leaf-blade inrolled, adaxially glabrous. Culm internodes smooth. Spike 24 × 1 cm, spikelets imbricate except near base. Spikelets c. 15 mm, c. 5-flowered, elliptic-oblong. Glumes 5-8 mm, scabrid on keel near obtuse tip. Lemma 9-10 mm, obtuse. Palea slightly < lemma. This Eurasian species was collected once from near Christchurch J. B. Armstrong (CHR 5401) probably in the 1870s.
