Graphina subvelata (Stirt.) Zahlbr.

G. subvelata (Stirton) Zahlbr., Cat. lich. univ. 2: 428 (1924).

Graphis subvelata Stirton, Qd agric. J. 5: 488 (1899).

Thallus continuous, smooth with occasional fissures. Lirellae rather prominent, flexuous 0.5-3 × 0.3 mm bordered by a ± regular, raised thalline margin, exciple black, open, base open. Ascospores 6-8 per ascus, colourless, 6-12 × 3-5-locular, 12-18 × 30-40 µm.

N: Poor Knights Is to Wellington. S: Nelson to Southland. Widely distributed on bark on both native and introduced trees and shrubs, coastal and lowland.
