Rudbeckia hirta
ζ*R. hirta L. ζ*, black-eyed Susan; solitary plants have been collected from 2 localities - a coastal cliff in Nelson City and wasteland in Christchurch. An erect, densely hairy annual or short-lived perennial < 1 m tall; lvs simple and not lobed; ray florets yellow, with darker markings at base; disc florets dark purple. An escape from cultivation and recorded as a seed impurity. (N. America, 1988).
