Placopsis parellina f. microphylla I.M.Lamb

P. parellina f. microphylla Lamb, Lilloa 13: 249 (1947).

Differs from typical crustose P. parellina in being incised- or crenulate-squamulose with squamules 0.4-1 mm diam., either scattered or more commonly contiguous and separated by sinuous cracks, often sorediate. Soredia scattered, rounded, 0.3-0.9 mm diam., convex-erumpent or eroded, often confluent, concolorous with thallus.
