Lecanactis totarae
Lectotype: New Zealand. Wellington. Halcombe near Palmerston North, on old bark of Podocarpus totara, near base of trunk, H.H. Allan ZA 3360 – CHR 378579 [fide Galloway (1985a: 208)]. Isolectotype – W.
Description : Flora (1985: 208).
Chemistry : Thallus K± yellowish, C−, KC−. Pd−; containing schizopeltic acid.
N: Northland (Waiwera). Auckland (Piha Gorge), Wellington (near Palmerston North). On bark (Podocarpus totara, Metrosideros excelsa) or decorticated wood from northern, coastal or lowland forest, s.l. to 30 m. Still very poorly known and collected.

Lecanactis totarae is similar to L. platygraphoides (known from Australia and Papua New Guinea) but has 3-septate ascospores that are straight or slightly curved, (18–) 21–27 × 4–6 μm; and shorter macroconidia (10–14 × 2.5–3.5 μm).
