Ranunculus ficaria subsp. bulbilifer Lambinon

Petioles slender; lamina of basal lvs membranous, 1-4 × 1-4 cm. Bulbils produced in axils of cauline lvs, small, brown, cylindric or obovoid. Fls c. 20-(30) mm diam.; petals 10-13 mm long. Achenes not ripening.

N.: Taranaki (Hawera), Manawatu, Wellington (Hutt Valley); S.: Canterbury, Otago.

This subsp. has also been known in N.Z. as R. ficaria subsp. bulbifer. It was first recorded in N.Z. as R. ficaria var. ficaria.
