Type : Phaeographina rosiliens Mont. & Bosch

Description : Flora (1985: 381).

Phaeographina, included in the family Graphidaceae (Staiger 2002; Eriksson et al.2004; Pennycook & Galloway 2004), is a predominantly tropical genus of some 90 species (Redinger 1933a; Wirth & Hale 1963, 1978; Nakanishi 1966, 1977; Awasthi & Singh 1974; Awasthi 1991; Archer 2000b, 2001c, 2001d, 2002, 2004c). One species is recorded from New Zealand (Müller Argoviensis 1894; Hayward 1977).
