Type locality: Great Barrier Id. Type: W, 5320 "Cultd plant from Port Fitzroy", T. Kirk; isotype K, Kirk no. 1428.

Fls bluish purple, sepals very broad and obtuse, racemes short, us. < long narrow-oblong lvs.

DIST.: N. Great and Little Barrier Is, possibly also Whangarei Harbour and Coromandel Peninsula.
