Type : Tremolecia dicksonii (J.F.Gmel.) M.Choisy [=Tremolecia atrata (Ach.) Hertel]
Description : Flora (1985: 585).
Tremolecia is included in the family Hymeneliaceae (Eriksson et al. 2004; Pennycook & Galloway 2004; Eriksson 2005), and is a monospecific saxicolous genus, of mountainous areas (Hertel 1977a, 2004b). It occurs at high altitudes in the mountains of the South Island.
