Biatora albipraetextata

Type : New Zealand. Sine loco [probably Wellington], Charles Knight – WELT.
Description : Thallus white to grey-white, thin, minutely granular, continuous to areolate. Apothecia scattered, sessile, disc subconcave, to 0.35 mm diam., pale pinkish or brown-pink; exciple whitish, entire, persistent. Asci clavate. Ascospores simple, ovoid, contents granular-oily, colourless 17 × 10 μm.
N: Wellington. Known only from the type locality.

Biatora albipraetextata is characterised by: the dingy, grey-white granular to areolate thallus; scatterd, sessile pinkish or brown-pink apothecia with a pale whitish lecideine margin; and colourless, ovoid, simple ascospores, 17 × 10 μm.
