Outer florets usually ♀ and ligulate, rarely ⚥, sometimes tubular; ligules yellow or purple; inner florets functionally ♂, tubular. Achenes all similar, oblong-elliptic, slightly curved, ribbed, glabrous or hairy; pappus denticulate.
