Var. rangiora

Var. rangiora (Buchan.) Allan comb. nov. 

B. rangiora Buchan. in T.N.Z.I. 14, 1882, 357.

Type locality: "lands of both islands abutting on Cook Strait". Type: not located.

Lvs more coriac., glossy above; phyll. purplish, often acute to acuminate.

DIST.: N., S. Shores of Cook Strait; Westport, Greymouth.

Of doubtful status; but the whole B. repanda complex needs further study in the field.
