Capitula heterogamous to homogamous, corolla mostly yellow. Disk-florets perfect, tubular; ray-florets pistillate, ligulate or tubular, or 0. Pappus well developed, of capillary simple or plumose hairs. Style-arms flattened, ± truncate, not appendiculate. Stigmatic lines evident. Anthers sagittate. Phyll. us. 1-seriate, not scarious; a calyculus often present. Lvs alt.
