This distinctive sp. is easily recognised by the regular, neatly triangular, brownish lf laminae and reddish petioles; the lvs are flattened to the sand. It is now known in the wild from only a few small populations, but is also cultivated in rock gardens. Mature filled fr. is rarely seen and has yet to be fully described.
