Buellia porulosa
Lectotype: New Zealand. Sine loco, W. Colenso – G 638/14 [fide Galloway (1985: 51)].
Description : Flora (1985: 51).
N: Northland to Wellington. S: Nelson to Southland. Widespread on telephone poles, and decorticated wood (fenceposts, gates etc.), s.l. to 1650 m (on wooden snow fences on the summit of the Old Man Ra.).
Endemic
Buellia porulosa is characterised by: the lignicolous habit; the obsolete, effuse, whitish or pale greyish thallus; scattered, discrete, sessile black apothecia, 0.1–0.3 mm diam.; and oval to fabiform ascospores, 12–15.5 × 5–8.5 μm.
