Luzula traversii (Buchenau) Cheeseman

L. traversii (Buchenau) Cheesem. Man. N.Z. Fl. 1925, 305.

Grass-like, (2) -10-25- (40) cm high. Leaves ± stiff, with acicular tip, 1-5 mm wide. Inflorescence a ± drooping pyramidal head. Flowers usually 1.5-2.5 mm long. Stamens 3, (6 in  var. tenuis).

S. Often in rock crevices to east of main divide; var. tenuis only in central Otago at lower altitudes. (S. America)
