Oxalis fontana
ζ*O. fontana Bunge ζ* has been collected only once, from Wellington in 1908. It is a common weed of cultivation in many parts of Europe, including Great Britain, and is a much more erect, taller and robust plant than the other spp. of sect. Corniculatae described here (O. corniculata, O. exilis, O. perennans and O. rubens, all with yellow fls). Lvs almost whorled; internodes to c. 6 cm long; stipules 0; cymes usually with 5-17 yellow fls, situated well above the lvs; capsules nearly glabrous, the few hairs patent. This sp. has been previously known in N.Z. as O. europaea. (America, Eurasia, 1979).
