Slender lax tufts with culms (4.5)-6.5-12-(30) cm. Leaf-sheath glabrous. Ligule 1-1.3 mm. Leaf-blade 4-12-(16) cm, flaccid, soft, flat to folded. Panicle 3-5.5-(8) cm. Spikelets 4.5-8 mm. Glumes subequal, oblong-elliptic, acute; lower 3.5-5 mm, upper 4-5.5 mm. Lemma 4-5.5 mm, oblong-elliptic, acute; midnerve occasionally very shortly excurrent. Palea 3-4.5 mm. Anthers 0.4-0.7 mm. 2 n = 28.
