Aira caryophyllea subsp. multiculmis (Dumort.) Bonnier & Layens

subsp. multiculmis (Dumort.) Bonnier et Layens Fl. France 358  (1984).

Plants usually 20-50 cm. Longer spikelet pedicels < 5 mm. Glumes 2-2.5 mm. Lemma 1.5-2 mm; awn 2-2.5 mm.

N.: North Auckland, Auckland City, southern Coromandel, Manawatu (Bainesse). Sandy waste land, cliffs and banks, rocky grassland, roadsides.

Naturalised from south-western Europe.
