Hydrilla verticillata

ζHydrilla verticillata (Linn. f.) Royle

ζHydrilla verticillata (Linn. f.) Royle ζ, resembling the "oxygen weed" group, was recorded by Healy Standard Common Names 1969, 115 for N.Z. The first collection was-Lake Tutira, Hawkes Bay, P. Grant, April 1963 (CHR 140295); two more gatherings have been made from Lake Tutira-R. Mason, June 1965 (CHR 167337) and R. Fisher Oct. 1967 (CHR 167407). (Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia)
