Bulbinella gibbsii Cockayne var. gibbsii

Var. gibbsii

Type locality: Mt Anglem. Type: AK 3239, L. Cockayne, Jan. 1907.

Plants to c. 30 cm. tall. Racemes sts > peduncle. Bract long-acuminate, longer than pedicel even in fr. Capsule broad-ovoid. 2n = 14.

DIST.: St.

Mostly at higher altitudes in wet places, but near sea level at Port Pegasus.

FL. 1–2. FT. 2–3.

The name Chrysobactron gibbsii is used in N.Z. Plants and their Story ed. 2, 1919, 193, 220, but the combination does not seem to have been validly made.
