Myosotis matthewsii L.B.Moore

M. matthewsii L. Moore, in Allan, Fl. New Zealand  1:   832, 973  (1961)

Plant erect or sprawling, possibly annual. Rosette lvs long-petiolate; lamina orbicular; hairs short, stiff, sparse, appressed, fewer abaxially. Lateral branches sometimes repeatedly branched; lvs mostly < internodes; lamina orbicular. Cymes not clearly defined; lf associated with fl. sessile, broadly ovate. Pedicel 2-3× calyx at fruiting. Calyx deeply divided; hairs on lobes confined to margins and ribs. Corolla white, 5-8 mm diam., openly campanulate; filaments = lobes.

N.: vicinity of Kaitaia.

Endemic.

Cliff bases, creek banks.
