Euonymus fortunei
ζ*E. fortunei (Turcz.) Hand.-Mazz. ζ* is known from only 2 collections of single plants, from Riccarton Bush (Christchurch) and a Douglas fir plantation at Coalgate (Canterbury). An evergreen woody scrambler or climber similar to E. japonicus but never forming an erect shrub. Twigs minutely warty. Lvs ovate to elliptic, green or variegated, 1.5-4 cm long. Capsules globose, pink. The sp. is commonly cultivated, often as E. radicans. (China, Japan, Taiwan, 1959).
