ζs. tora

ζ*S. tora (L.) Roxb.

ζ*S. tora (L.) Roxb. ζ* was recorded by Allan (1940, as Cassia toru L.) without reference to N.Z. collections. The record was probably based on CHR 5505, Kaikoura, Acton-Adams, May 1926, which is the only N.Z. collection. There is no indication whether this is a naturalised specimen. S. tora is a glabrous or puberulent herb with obovate, obtuse leaflets in 3 opposite pairs, persistent stipules, and linear, curved pods. (Asia, 1940).
