Acicarpha tribuloides

ζ*Acicarpha tribuloides Juss.

ζ*Acicarpha tribuloides Juss. ζ* is known only from Kirk's original collections from ship's ballast in Wellington Harbour. A lax, glabrous, annual herb; lvs c. 5 × 1 cm, oblong to spathulate, remotely toothed; fls in clusters on short branches; achenes connate into a globose fr. with spines 3-7 mm long. (S. America, 1896).
