ζ*L. chalcedonica L. ζ* has been collected only once, on waste land near Christchurch (CHR 89584, Healy 55/336, 19.12.1955). It has tall hispid stems, capitate infls of red fls, and emarginate petals. (U.S.S.R., 1958).
