Parthenocissus tricuspidata
ζ*P. tricuspidata (Siebold et Zucc.) Planchon ζ*, Boston ivy, is very common in cultivation and one collection (AK 119783, Great Barrier Id, Tryphena Hill, Cooper, 1964) is apparently from a wild plant since the label states "roadside on rocks". A very vigorous liane climbing by means of adhesive tendril pads and probably adventitious rootlets; lvs few-toothed, simple or 3-foliolate, turning brilliant shades of red in autumn. In N.Z. it is often wrongly called Virginia creeper. (China and Japan, 1984).
