Opuntia cylindrica
ζ*O. cylindrica (Lam.) DC. ζ*, cane cactus, has been collected wild on the edge of a cliff on Quail Id, Banks Peninsula, Canterbury, where it has escaped from cultivation. It is commonly cultivated in hillside gardens on warm dry slopes. The characteristic cylindric stems are an uncommon feature in the genus. (Andes, 1988).
