Description : Flora (1985: 16–17 – as Arthopyrenia subbiformis).

N: Wellington. Known only from the type collections.

Endemic

Illustrations : Knight (1876: pl. X, fig. 22 – as Verrucaria subbiformis and V. pruinogrisea; 1877: pl. XXXVII, fig. 22 – as Verrucaria subbiformis; pl. XXXVII, fig. 25 – as Verrucaria pruinogrisea).

Anisomeridium subbiforme is characterised by: the corticolous habit; prominent black, hemispherical perithecia; and fusiform to oblong-fusiform, 1-septate ascospores, 16–25 × 6–7 μm.
