Luzula ulophylla (Buchenau) Cockayne & Laing

L. ulophylla (Buchenau) Ckn. et Laing T.N.Z.I. 43, 1911, 366.

Woolly-leaved, cushion-like patches, (5)-9-20-(25) cm high. Leaves covered on margins and back with tangled white hairs, tips acute. Inflorescence spike-like. Stamens 3- (4-6).

S. Southwards from Clarence River and Reefton. Usually on dry or bare ground.
