Description : Flora (1985: 33)

N: Northland (Kawerua), Wellington. On rocks.

Endemic

Illustrations : Knight (1875a: pl. XXIII, fig. 13 – as Lecidea plesia); Nylander (1888: tab. 1, fig. 14 – as Lecidea rhyparobola).

Bacidia plesia is characterised by: the saxicolous habit; the pale ochraceous, areolate thallus; the black hypothallus; and broadly ellipsoidal, 4–5-septate ascospores, 25–35 × 8–12 μm.
