Lilaeopsis lacustris

Type locality: Lake Rotorua. Type: Berggren in Mus. Bot. Stockholm. There is a Berggren specimen in K.

Rhizome creeping, rooting at nodes and there producing clusters of "phyllodes" up to ± 15 cm. long, filiform to slender; septa rather distant. Umbels 5-7-fld on peduncles up to c. 4 cm. long; pedicels up to c. 2 cm. long. Fr. cylindric, ± 2 × 1 mm., ribs rounded; vittae 6, 2 commissural. Stylopodia prominent.

DIST.: N. Damp ground and margins of lakes and slow-flowing waters throughout, but apparently very local.
