Impatiens balsamina
ζ*I. balsamina L. ζ*, garden balsam, is not fully wild but recorded as a casual on a roadside bank at Milford, Auckland. An annual with a ± hairy stem; fls close to stem on very short peduncles; capsules densely hairy. Several strains with different corolla colours are grown, mainly white, pink and rose. (S. and S.E. Asia, 1981).
