Heterodermia leucomela subsp. boryi (Fée) Swinscow & Krog
Borrera boryi Fée, Essai. cryptog. Écorc. exot. Officin.: XCVI (1825).
Lobes disjunct, narrow 0.4-1.5 mm wide, ribbon-like, straggling, dichotomously branched. Upper surface uneven with fine, long, black marginal cilia. Lower surface ecorticate, ± canaliculate, arachnoid, with subapical soralia. Apothecia rare, laminal, subapical to apical, pedicellate, exciple crenulate to squamulose. Ascospores with sporoblastidia, 35-52 × 18-25 µm. Chemistry: Atranorin, zeorin.
N: Three Kings Is to Wellington. S: Nelson to Otago. On trees and shrubs in lowland and coastal forest in humid habitats of moderate shade.
