Chenopodium ficifolium

ζ*C. ficifolium Smith

ζ*C. ficifolium Smith ζ* belongs to the C. album group and has been collected in Wellington (in 1894) and occasionally elsewhere since. An annual herb with lanceolate to ovate or ± oblong, ± green lvs lacking farina, with a prominent tooth or lobe towards the base on either side (a rare character in C. album); middle lf lobe strongly toothed to entire, often parallel-sided; glomerules of fls a a little smaller than in C. album; testa reticulate with elongated microscopic pits. (Temperate Eurasia, N. Africa, 1896).
