Collema leptaleum

S: Otago, known from only one collection from Myoporum laetum bark at Waikouaiti (J.Murray, OTA). Known also from Australia (McCarthy 2003c, 2006).

Collema leptaleum is characterised by: the corticolous habit; small to medium (1–5 cm diam.) thalli, with densely wrinkled, to fenestrate or lobulate lobes, without isidia and often forming cushions; scattered to numerous, sessile to pedicellate apothecia with a pale- to dark-red, epruinose disc; and 3-septate (rarely 7–9-septate) ascospores, (15–)25–50 × (1.5–)2–5 μm.
