Bromus secalinus

ξB. secalinus L. ξ, rye brome Tufts slender, 60-70 cm. Lower leaf-sheaths glabrous. Panicle lax, 6-10 cm. Spikelets c. 2 cm, glabrous. Lemma rounded with tightly incurved margins. Palea ≈ lemma. A Eurasian and North African species once collected near Christchurch, "rare" [c. 1870] J. B. Armstrong (WELT 70987).
