Abbreviations for names of authors follow Brummitt, R. K. and Powell, C. E. (Eds) Authors of Plant Names (1992). Abbreviations of titles of journals and books are not listed here; with a few exceptions (e.g., T.N.Z.I. and T.R.S.N.Z. for Transactions of the New Zealand Institute and of the Royal Society of New Zealand) they follow the Kew Record of Taxonomic Literature and Flora Europaea. Abbreviations for herbaria follow Index Herbariorum.
