Acknowledgement

Manaaki Whenua Press acknowledges a generous grant from the Miss E.L. Hellaby Indigenous Grasslands Research Trust towards the cost of publishing this Flora.

The Trust was established in 1959 by Eleanor Lillywhite Hellaby, daughter of William Hellaby a pioneer of New Zealand's meat industry, to benefit the pastoral industry through fellowships for the study of a seemingly neglected field of research - indigenous grasslands.

In addition to fellowships the Trust has paid field expenses, assisted with the publication of floras, contributed to conference travel, and purchased areas of tussock grasslands for reservation and conservation.

research policy is determined by a Board of Governors; assets of the Trust are managed by the Guardian Trust.

Applications for grants may be made to the Board of Governors, Hellaby Trust, C/o P.O. Box 295 Dunedin.
