Cryptandra amara

ζ*Cryptandra amara Smith ζ* is sometimes cultivated and has been collected wild from near North Cape (N. Auckland). A small shrub; lvs alternate, linear, c. 5 mm long, with revolute margins; fls in short racemes; calyx c. 4 mm long with white, stellate tomentum outside; petals very small, enclosing the stamens; fr. capsular. (E. and S. Australia, 1935).
