Eupatorium cannabinum

ζ*Eupatorium cannabinum L.

ζ*Eupatorium cannabinum L. ζ*, hemp agrimony, has been collected only from waste places in the vicinity of Hawera (Taranaki). An erect, puberulent, perennial herb, up to 2 m tall; lvs opposite, petiolate, 3-(5)-foliolate; leaflets glandular, serrate; capitula reddish purple, 1-2 mm diam., in dense terminal corymbs; involucral bracts unequal; pappus of scabrid hairs. The N.Z. plant is referable to the type var. (Eurasia, N.W. Africa, 1975).
