Prostrate shrub forming patches up to ± 6 dm. diam.; branches slender, wiry, up to ± 4 dm. long; branchlets very slender, up to c. 15 cm. long. ± white-tomentose at tips. Lvs subsessile, erecto-patent, coriac., close-set, glab. to pubescent or occ. hoary, glaucous below; linear, 3-5 × < 1 mm., obtuse to subacute, occ. apiculate; margins ± recurved, ciliolate. Fls axillary and/or terminal, solitary or in clusters of 2-4; peduncles very short, curved. Bracts ovate, covering peduncle. Fls. c. 2 mm. long; calyx-lobes ovate, ciliolate; corolla-lobes narrow-ovate, acute or subacute, glab. Fr. reddish, ovoid, c. 3 mm. long; locules 3-5.
