Var. dissecta

Var. dissecta Allan var. nov. 

Type locality: Upper basin of Wilkin River. Type: BD 76104, G. Simpson, 7/12/1949.

Stems rather stout, up to ± 3 dm. tall; lamina 5-10 cm. long, narrow-oblong, with us. stout rhachis, on short petiole; sheath ± 2 cm. long, ± ligulate; pinnae 5-10 pairs, lowermost often inserted just above sheath, lower rather distant, uppermost rather close-set, up to 10 × 10 mm., cut nearly to midvein into narrow-linear segs up to 5 mm. long, terminated by hair-processes up to 3 mm. long. Bracts with open sheaths ± 2 cm. long and lamina up to 2 cm. long. Umbels compound, on slender peduncles up to 5 cm. long. Primary rays very slender, unequal, up to c. 4 cm. long; involucral bracts linear, acute; secondary short; umbellules < 1cm. diam. Fr. ± 3 mm. long.

DIST.: S., St. Montane grassland and open places from c. lat. 43º southwards.
